Barron Trump No Longer ‘Off Limits’ After Political Move

(RepublicanReport.org) – Former President Donald Trump has five children: Donald Jr., Ivanka, Eric, Tiffany, and Barron. While the first three have been in the limelight throughout the former US leader’s political stint, with Tiffany less so, his youngest child has largely stayed in the background — until now.

On May 8, the Republican Party of Florida selected Barron Trump as one of the state’s at-large delegates for the upcoming Republican National Convention. The 18-year-old will graduate from high school on May 17 and join his siblings on the convention team.

At-large delegates represent the entire state and perform duties like casting a vote in the nomination process at the convention and contributing to formulating the party’s platform. This will be Barron Trump’s first step into the political realm, a move that some say makes him “fair game.”

Up until now, the youngest Trump has been sheltered from the chaos surrounding his father and siblings over the last four years — and certainly before. His mother, former first lady Melania Trump, has kept him close. The host of “Mueller, She Wrote,” and political commentator Allison Gill said the move means he is “no longer off limits.”

Another person on social media thought Barron’s entry into the political arena was a bad move. The user, Rob Voreck, said he was “surprised” Melania allowed her son to step into the limelight. Now that he is a legal adult, however, he can make his own choices.

That said, Barron Trump didn’t publicly speak out about the designation, so it’s unclear if he chose the position himself or if it was assigned without request.

Barron is the only child of former President Donald Trump and Melania Trump. Before now, he has never publicly shown an interest in politics. It’s unclear if he will continue that journey. He will soon graduate from Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach, Florida, an event Trump is scheduled to attend.
