Trump Demands Biden Remove Ad of Him Mocking Dead Soldiers

(RepublicanReport.org) – On June 7, President Joe Biden shared a new ad campaign on social media filled with quotes from former President Donald Trump about soldiers past and present. The words included the ex-president referring to fallen soldiers as “losers,” disparaging remarks about former Senator and war hero John McCain (R-AZ), and Trump calling fallen Marines “suckers.” The presumptive GOP presidential nominee responded strongly to the ad.

On June 9, Trump held a campaign rally in Las Vegas where he denied saying any of the things depicted in Biden’s campaign ad. Some of the quotes were pulled from an article in The Atlantic from 2020.

The former president told the crowd that Biden knew he didn’t call fallen soldiers “suckers and losers” and that it was all “made up.” Still, the campaign used the quotes anyway, adding that the president and his team were “sick people.” Trump said only a “psycho or a crazy person or a very stupid person” would say such things.

On his social media platform, the former president called the Biden campaign’s claim a “hit job” by the Democrats. He said the ad shows the Left’s desperation and called on Biden to take it down after calling the Commander in Chief “dumb as a rock” and “fascist scum.”

Regarding two of the claims about Trump’s previous statements, one unnamed senior official in the Department of Defense and another senior in the US Marine Corps previously confirmed Trump’s remarks in 2018 in an interview with the Associated Press.

Trump reportedly refused to visit the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery, where Americans who fought and died in World War I are buried. According to the high-ranking sources, Trump didn’t believe it was important to honor the fallen heroes. He supposedly said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.” In another conversation during the same trip, the then-president said more than 1,800 Marines were “suckers” for getting killed at Belleau Wood. Still, Trump maintains that he never said any such thing.
