(RepublicanReport.org) – With Russia invading Ukraine and on the brink of a major conflict, many people are wondering what will happen next. Are we about to see a war in Europe more severe than any struggle since the end of World War II in 1945? If so, the United States might end up providing much of the combat equipment to support Ukraine. How would our military tools match up against Russia’s in 2022?

According to reports, America has already sent night-vision equipment, rifles, and anti-tank missiles to Ukraine. Additionally, according to Ukraine Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, the US has committed to providing more military equipment to Ukraine from now on.
While the US has traditionally been superior to Russia with regard to military equipment and remains so, the margin has likely narrowed considerably in recent years. Since Russia invaded Georgia in 2008, Moscow has pumped a lot of resources into improving its weapons and other combat equipment. Also, military personnel in Russia are a lot more experienced than they used to be, as they have engaged with well-equipped foes repeatedly in recent times. The US, by contrast, has only fought poorly-equipped insurgent forces like the Taliban.
Also, Russia’s capabilities outstrip the US’ in certain specific areas. For example, the Russians reportedly have land weapons with longer ranges than we do.
Do you think we have cause for concern?
