Authentik Fudge Recall: Mold Contamination Concern

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a recall of 840 units of Authentik Fudge’s Chocolate Fudge with Nuts, sold under the brand name “Montreal Fudge.” The recall was initiated after a consumer complaint about mold found in an unopened box, which was subsequently confirmed by the company at their manufacturing site.

The affected items were distributed between June 19 and June 20 to select Marshalls and TJ Maxx locations across 40 states. They are packaged in a 5.6-ounce box with an orange top and a white printed background, featuring an image of three fudge pieces and the words “individually wrapped.” Three specific lot numbers are included in the recall: Lot 0241500805, Lot 0241690105, and Lot 0241690205.

Diamond Shruumz Recall: Serious Health Risks Identified

In a separate and more severe incident, the FDA has issued a Class I recall for an entire range of Diamond-Shruumz confectionery products. This recall follows reports of 78 illnesses across 28 states, including 40 hospitalizations and two potential deaths under investigation. The recall encompasses 22 products, including gummies, chocolate bars, and cones, which have been distributed nationwide.
