Trump Slams Nancy Pelosi: She’s the True Threat to Democracy

(RepublicanReport.org) – The strife between former President Donald Trump and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was highlighted when she ripped up a copy of his 2020 State of the Union speech because she claimed it contained a “compilation of falsehoods.” After the Capitol Hill riot on January 6, Trump accused Pelosi of refusing his alleged offering of the National Guard. Now, the former US leader is going after her again.

On July 10, Trump posted about the seasoned legislator on his social media platform, saying she was “more of a cognitive mess” than President Joe Biden. The former president said Pelosi has been saying he is a “threat to democracy” but said she is the real threat. He didn’t elaborate on how the CA lawmaker posed a threat to the nation. Trump then went on to say that Pelosi was “sick” and “took full responsibility for not doing her job on Jan 6” in a recent video. He claimed the insurrection was “her fault.”

However, the full clip of the video recently shared shows that Pelosi was not taking responsibility for January 6. She was taking responsibility for assuming that Trump supporters would “act civilized” and not preparing a better defense plan to keep congressional members safe. The only persons with the authority to activate the DC National Guard are the current president, the US Army secretary, and the Defense secretary — none of which made that call.

Pelosi has been interviewed multiple times since the June presidential debate and has been asked about Biden’s performance and whether she still supports him for re-election. She said that if he decides to continue in the race, the Democrats will support him, and she also said that asking what happened with Biden during the debate was “legitimate.” However, she said that question could be asked of “both candidates.” Pelosi added that Trump was a “dangerous person and evil,” highlighting that the strife between the two is still alive and well.
