(RepublicanReport.com) – Former President Donald Trump’s removal from Twitter was one of the most explosive political news stories of the post-election period earlier this year. The tech giant attempted to justify the move by alleging that Trump’s position on the platform posed a risk of violence. However, many Conservatives rejected this idea, claiming Twitter was simply attempting to curtail his right to free expression.
That said, it doesn’t seem as if Trump himself is too concerned. On Monday, March 22, he gave a series of phone interviews, including one with Newsmax TV. During that discussion, the former president claimed Twitter had actually done him a favor by deplatforming him. He believes he’s now getting “better and more coverage” than he ever did on Twitter.
In fact, it appears Trump is so content with his current situation that he wouldn’t get back on the social media site even if he were invited back. According to Politico, a source who has been in “regular contact” with Trump, says he has “zero interest in rejoining.”
