Trump Is Considering Firing Christopher Wray After Election (REPORT)

( – President Donald Trump’s patience with FBI Director Christopher Wray is reportedly wearing thin. On Wednesday, October 21, the Washington Post released a story claiming that the president and his advisers have discussed firing Wray on several occasions. Such a move would come after the election, assuming Trump wins.

The Bidens & Ukraine

The root of the problem is Christopher Wray’s handling of the investigation into the Biden family’s dealings with corporate interests in Ukraine. The president feels the details of the probe should be public knowledge, but Wray and his associates have been reluctant to share information with the media. Attorney General William Barr has reportedly attracted criticism for this as well.

Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe released a statement earlier this week in relation to this matter. He said the laptop containing evidence of Joe and Hunter Biden’s activities with Burisma Holdings was not part of a Russian disinformation effort. However, the FBI has neglected to elaborate on this. Given the seriousness of the issues at hand, it’s not surprising to see the president push for a more thorough briefing on the suspected origins of the material.

Other Issues

Trump also took issue with Christopher Wray in September after he referred to Antifa as “an ideology, not an organization.” In the context of the ongoing riots across the US at the time, the president felt this was not an appropriate stance for the FBI director.

Wray replaced James Comey in 2017. President Trump dismissed Comey because of the FBI’s handling of the investigation into Russian collusion in the 2016 election, which many commentators saw as a witch hunt.

Donald Trump has not shied away from confrontation with the heads of police bodies during his tenure. Over the last few years, the integrity of these individuals (and the agencies they run) has been called into question like never before. Should Joe Biden take over from Trump next year, we’re unlikely to see organizations like the FBI being held accountable as they are now.
