National Guard and Taiwan Military Reportedly Planning to Team Up

U.S. Makes HUGE Decision With Taiwan – Agreement Announced!

(RepublicanReport.org) – When President Joe Biden took office, he rescinded many of former President Donald Trump’s policies. However, when it came to Taiwan, he kept his predecessor’s strategy. Now, it seems he’s taking it a step further.

On May 31, Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen met with Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) during an unannounced visit. During the meeting, the president announced a cooperation agreement between her military and the US National Guard. The leader didn’t offer any details about the agreement, but Fox News reported the country’s military might link with the Hawaiian National Guard. The US has previously helped train the Taiwanese military.

The announcement and Duckworth’s visit come amid increased tension with China. President Joe Biden recently said the US would get involved militarily if the communists attacked Taiwan, although he and the administration have still insisted there’s no change in the US’s policy of strategic ambiguity.

In response to Duckworth’s meeting, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised the US to stop all “forms of official interactions with Taiwan” and said it should abide by the one-China principle. Not doing so could send the “wrong signal to ‘Taiwan independence’ separatist forces,” according to the statement.

The US National Guard has not clarified what the alleged cooperation agreement would entail.
