Mark Zuckerberg NAMED – Slapped With Major Lawsuit!
(RepublicanReport.org) – The Cambridge Analytica scandal was a complex story that hit the airwaves following the presidential election in 2016. According to reports, the data firm unlawfully acquired the personal information of tens of millions of Facebook users ahead of the election. Now, authorities in Washington, DC are continuing their efforts to hold those in charge of the social media platform accountable.
On Monday, May 23, DC Attorney General Karl Racine (D) filed a lawsuit against Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook’s parent company, now called Meta. The action alleges Zuckerberg was directly involved in the decision-making processes that facilitated Cambridge Analytica’s acquisition of user data.

Racine is also continuing to pursue legal action against Meta itself. He initially tried to add Zuckerberg as a defendant in that existing lawsuit, but the judge in the case said he had delayed for too long and rejected the request.
Racine did not hold back when expressing his skepticism about Zuckerberg’s motives in the lawsuit. He stated the billionaire had for years been determined to harvest as much data as possible from the platform’s users with a view to extending and maintaining its viability as a business.
A representative of Meta declined a request from The Hill to comment on the developing situation.
