Kim Kardashian West Visits Death Row Inmate to Push Prison Reform

(RepublicanReport.com) – Reality TV mogul Kim Kardashian West has been an outspoken advocate of various causes for some time now. Chief among her projects at the moment is criminal justice reform.

On Tuesday, November 24, Kardashian West visited Julius Jones, a death row inmate in Oklahoma State Penitentiary. Jones was convicted of first-degree murder in 2002 for a shooting that took place in 1999, when he was 19 years old.

Many familiar with the case believe he was a victim of racial profiling, and members of his family maintain he was at home with them when the crime took place. Kardashian West has joined a campaign that aims to have Jones’ sentence commuted.

Some people choose to criticize Kim Kardashian West and members of her family for their perceived seriousness. However, she has consistently used her platform to further worthy causes in recent times. At a time when many rich and famous people choose to blindly espouse trendy liberal movements, Kardashian West is to be commended for breaking the mold.
