(RepublicanReport.com) – In a 2020 interview on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said he thinks Big Tech censorship has become the biggest threat to our democracy. But Big Tech companies aren’t the only ones supporting censorship. Unwilling or unable to engage with ideas different than their own, leftist politicians and commentators continually call for the suppression of right-wing voices. The latest example of this came from two California Democrats in the House of Representatives, who sent letters to various broadcasters asking them to remove conservative platforms like Fox News.
Predictably, this was met with scorn from right-wing commentators. On Tuesday, February 23, Donald Trump Jr. spoke out against it on Rumble, the alternative video platform, calling it “modern-day book burning.”

The letter, which was sent to Amazon, Comcast and Google, among others, makes reference to “dangerous misinformation” that contributed to “the radicalization” of people like those involved in the Capitol protest earlier this year. As Trump Jr. notes in his video, the document makes no mention of the misinformation published by outlets like CNN, such as the conspiracy that his father colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election.
