(RepublicanReport.com) – Seattle, WA was one of the worst-affected cities during the wave of protests, riots, and looting that swept America last summer. Things got so bad that militant protesters even managed to set up a “police-free zone” in an area of the city for a number of weeks.
It wasn’t just ordinary protesters, either; reports say elected officials were getting in on the act as well. Allegedly, socialist Seattle City Councilmember Kshama Sawant broke a number of laws in her facilitation of different demonstrations. On Friday, March 2, the Washington State Supreme Court announced that a recall effort against Sawant may proceed, rejecting an appeal against it.
Sawant’s alleged wrongdoing includes unlocking City Hall to allow access to protesters during a lockdown. She also spoke at a protest in front of Mayor Jenny Durkan’s (D) home. As she’s a former federal prosecutor, Durkan’s address is supposed to remain a secret.
"Sawant accused misusing city resources & failing public disclosure requirements. Washington law states recall can proceed when official's committed some act/acts of malfeasance or violated oath of office & at least 1 charge needed upheld she had 4 of 6" https://t.co/OgOMRPVDt6

The lawlessness that prevailed in Seattle and other cities last summer was heartbreaking for honest, hard-working Americans to watch. Efforts like this one are an encouraging sign that the majority of people don’t want to see it happen again.
