CNN's Jeffrey Toobin Accused Of Sexual Misconduct On Zoom

(RepublicanReport.com) – CNN’s chief legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin has temporarily stepped away from his professional obligations due to alleged sexual misconduct. On Monday, October 19, news broke that Toobin had exposed himself while on a Zoom meeting with colleagues from the New Yorker, where he also works. In an interview with Vice, the journalist claimed he started masturbating in the mistaken belief he was off-camera.

The New Yorker quickly suspended Toobin after the incident became public knowledge. However, CNN gave him the opportunity to step away voluntarily. The newsgroup stated its legal correspondent was dealing with a “personal issue” and needed some time off.

Unsurprisingly, left-leaning journalists have been quick to downplay the incident. It’s difficult to imagine they would be so lenient if a conservative figure had been involved in Toobin’s place.

It is still too early to say exactly whether Jeffrey Toobin’s conduct was an accident or something more sinister. While the focus of the media is likely to stray elsewhere in the coming days and weeks, this is a story that is sure to resurface once we know more.
