(RepublicanReport.org) – With decades in politics and lawmaking under his belt, President Joe Biden should have quite a decent grasp on major US documents like the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Yet, the POTUS, who is our oldest serving leader at 80 years old, is running for office again while continuing to make verbal blunders. His latest mixup happened on national television, causing viewers to question if his mental health is declining.
On Thursday, July 29, the US Supreme Court ruled that colleges can no longer use affirmative action during their admissions processes. The SCOTUS justices believe that giving people of a certain race priority over others goes against the Constitution’s Equal Protection Clause, even though this decision overturned six decades of precedent.
When discussing this ruling with MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace, President Biden lamented the court’s decision, saying it reflects a “different” system of values and does not embody the Constitution before quoting a famous sentence from the Declaration of Independence.

While Biden got most of the words correct in the quote, “All men and women are created equal, endowed by their creator,” the actual wording is “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” On top of that, he attributed it to the wrong document.
POTUS also fumbled over his dates, saying the US fought a war about privacy rights in 1960 when he was likely referring to the Civil War from 1861 to 1865. Are these verbal faux pas yet another example of Biden’s old age and declining mental acuity or an ignorable misstep from America’s oldest president? This is just one of the many questions voters must consider as the nation prepares for the 2024 general election, where Biden will likely be the Democratic nominee.
